AIRPLANE – CESSNA U-3C 310-G

CESSNA U-3C 310-G

The Cessna U-3C, based on the civilian Cessna 310G, was a military utility version of the popular light twin-engine aircraft. Often referred to as the "Blue Canoe" by U.S. Air Force personnel, the U-3 was used extensively for liaison, personnel transport, and administrative duties.

The U-3C variant, introduced in the early 1960s, featured upgrades over earlier models, including more powerful engines, improved avionics, and enhanced flight performance. Its sleek design, reliable operation, and ability to operate from shorter runways made it a favorite for both tactical support and general utility roles.

Though retired from military service, the Cessna 310 series, including U-3 variants, remains a popular classic among civilian owners and restorers today. Its twin-tail design and clean lines make it instantly recognizable at airshows and fly-ins across the country.
